No movie needs the burden of “greatest of all time”. Fuck that pressure. Just watch a grand gesture from a young artist going BIG. So many technical ideas have been taken from this, but also it’s a grand tragedy about San Simeon. Look up the rosebud connection if you want, pretty funny to think that a film held in such high esteem is just about a dude trying to pleasure his mistress. Also, that damn puzzle!
