In the decades following its 1998 release, Norm Macdonald often referred to the original “dirtier” cut of Dirty Work that was trimmed in favor of receiving a PG-13 rating. Though beloved by all (?) who’ve sampled its fetid, fishy, and freaky flavors, fans have long pondered what the liberated sensibilities of Macdonald, director Bob Saget, and co-writers Frank Sebastiano and Fred Wolf had in mind for unsuspecting audiences. Through a meticulous restoration of original camera negatives, Vinegar Syndrome archivist Oscar Becher and his team have recreated an early, filthy cut from “a preview cut, a workprint tape, and a two-hour assembly video.”

Note to self: While 1 minute longer than the Theatrical Cut, the Dirtier Cut contains approximately 7 minutes of unique footage due to the use of alternate scenes and takes.
