Almodovar basically makes the soapiest of soups. It’s funny to think about beautiful colouring and costuming and dialogue but the dude invented the high art version of the telenovela. An actress has some issues from the past, they come back. Point is, it’s all served up in the dishiest way. Get a big spoon, you’re in for a real treat here.
