THE BLAZE — RETROSPECTIVE SCREENING — MAY 9
For the very first time, The Blaze’s complete filmography will be projected on the big screen.
Since 2016, Guillaume and Jonathan Alric have crafted a unique body of work at the intersection of electronic music and cinema. Through their music videos — “Virile”, “Territory”, “Heaven”, “Queens”, “Dreamer” and “Madly” — they weave a distinct language, where music doesn’t just accompany the image: it is its flesh, its breath, its momentum.
But beyond aesthetics, The Blaze imposes a perspective. A gaze on the world, on the margins, on the raw beauty of humanity. They film those rarely seen: plural bodies, faces beyond the norms, true gestures, heavy silences. They capture youth in its most fragile, untamable, and poignant form.
In their work, a funeral becomes a collective trance. A playground transforms into a space for emancipation. A party becomes a declaration of love. Friendship, freedom, loss, self-reclamation are celebrated. It’s real, elevated without pretense. It’s political without slogans.
Each video is a micro-fiction. A social poem. A standalone masterpiece.
This retrospective isn’t a compilation. It’s a journey. A visual and sonic manifesto of a decade filled with emotions, gentle struggles, raw beauty. In a world that’s speeding up, The Blaze takes the time to truly look. And that makes all the difference.
To be lived, to be felt, to never be forgotten. On the big screen.
