“We are the freaks.” Black lipstick, Wicca, and Catholic school angst — THE CRAFT is CARRIE by way of CLUELESS. When troubled teen Sarah (Robin Tunney, EMPIRE RECORDS) transfers to a new high school in LA, she is quickly befriended by a trio rumored to be witches — Bonnie (Neve Campbell, SCREAM), Rochelle (Rachel True, NOWHERE), and Nancy (Fairuza Balk, AMERICAN HISTORY X). It is not long before the spells and curses cast by the budding coven take on a life of their own. Less content to rest on hijinks and popularity contests than its contemporaries, the script by FLATLINERS scribe, Peter Filardi, crafts a broody atmosphere as thick as its protagonist’s eyeliner and continues to resonate with girl gangs and misfits who’ve long outgrown the braces and rosary combo. Co-starring Skeet Ulrich (SCREAM) and Breckin Meyer (ROADTRIP).  Screening in 35mm!
