Italy at the end of WWII. Fascism has fallen, and in the void everyone has gone to pieces. Desperation and decadence horrify the occupying US forces. And then things get really bad. A film that feels like it’s a world spiralling completely out of control, and then falls flat on its face. You’ll see.
