A man tries to commit murder-suicide on his kids, leaving his teenage daughter and adolescent son stranded in the outback. David Gulpilil finds the kiddos and helps ’em survive the harsh terrain. Attraction plays up, but racism and cultural differences are inevitable. One of Roeg’s finest.
